Privacy policy

1. Controller

The party responsible for processing personal data on this website within the meaning of the Swiss Data Protection Act (FADP) is:

2. Principle

This website is deliberately built to collect as little as possible. No analytics tools, no advertising networks, no social plug-ins and no external fonts are loaded. There is no profiling and no automated individual decision-making. Personal data is processed only where it is needed to run the site or to answer an enquiry.

3. Server log files

When you open a page, your browser necessarily transmits data to the hosting provider's server, which is recorded in log files:

  • shortened or full IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of access
  • file requested and volume of data transferred
  • whether the request succeeded
  • browser type, browser version and operating system
  • the page visited beforehand (referrer), where transmitted

This processing serves stable operation, troubleshooting and defence against attacks, and rests on the overriding legitimate interest in running the site securely. The data is not combined with other sources. Logs are deleted automatically after 30 days at the latest.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Kreativ Media GmbH, Höschgasse 45, 8008 Zurich, Switzerland. The provider processes the data above as a processor, is bound by contract to follow instructions and is obliged to maintain confidentiality. The corresponding data processing agreement forms part of its general terms.

All servers are located in Switzerland, spread across several ISO 27001 certified data centres in the Zurich area. Hosting involves no disclosure of data abroad.

4. Contact by email

If you write to me, your email address, your name and the content of your message are processed in order to answer your enquiry and prepare any collaboration. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual steps, or the legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

The mailbox is hosted by the same provider as the website, Kreativ Media GmbH in Zurich, and therefore sits on servers in Switzerland. Incoming messages are additionally forwarded to a private mailbox at Proton AG in Geneva, likewise in Switzerland. Messages are deleted once they are no longer needed.

5. Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is the language you selected, so the switcher remembers it on your next visit. That entry contains no personal data and can be cleared through your browser settings at any time. No consent banner is required for it.

6. Embedded content from Microsoft Power BI

The portfolio section reserves a space for an interactive dashboard. Once a Power BI report is embedded there, your browser opens a direct connection to Microsoft Corporation servers while loading the page. At minimum your IP address, technical device information and the page requested are transmitted to Microsoft. The extent and purpose of that processing are outside my control.

Transfer to the United States and other countries is possible. Microsoft bases such disclosures on standard contractual clauses.

7. Links to external platforms

The links to Fiverr, YouTube and Instagram are plain text links. No content from those providers is loaded unless you click. Only then do you leave this website, and from that point the provider's own privacy terms apply.

8. Data security

Transmission is encrypted over HTTPS. Appropriate technical and organisational measures protect the processed data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

9. Your rights

Under the applicable data protection law you have the right to:

  • be told whether and which data about you is processed
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have data deleted or its processing restricted
  • receive or transfer your data in a common format
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • withdraw consent with effect for the future

A short email to info@codinglobe.com is enough. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). Where the processing also falls under the European GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority where you live.

10. Visitors from the EU

Where the offer is directed at people in the European Economic Area, the GDPR applies in addition. The legal bases are then Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for the secure operation of the website.

11. Changes

This statement will be adjusted whenever the website's features or the legal situation change. The version published here is the one that applies.
